Prelude by Yoon Dong-ju(1917-1945)

Prelude

by Yoon Dong-ju(1917-1945)

Wishing to have no speck of shame toward Heaven until I die,

I’ve agonized even over the wind blowing through the leaves.

I will love all the dying lives with a heart that sings about Star,

and  will continue to walk the path that has been given to me.

The Star is again brushed by the wind tonight.

✝️ 🙏 People generally read the writings of poet Yoon Dong-ju and talk about him as a national poet and resistance poet. But could you hear the whisper of a poor man's heart who only depends on the Star of Joseph over the Cross?
